Ballethnic Dance Company is a classically trained, professional dance company merging classical ballet with modern, jazz, and ethnic dance forms. The resulting blend of tradition with innovation is a singularly entertaining harmony of music and movement that has earned popular and critical acclaim for its appearances at the National Black Arts Festival, the Olympic Games’ 1996 Olympic Arts Festival, Lincoln Center Out-of Doors Festival, Aaron Davis Hall in New York, DanceAfrica at Brooklyn Academy of Music, DanceAfrica Chicago, and the Bermuda Arts Festival, to name a few. At home, Ballethnic Dance Company annually presents its holiday classic Urban Nutcracker, and its signature ballet The Leopard Tale. Through Ballethnic Academy of Dance and its outreach programs, the organization provides classes in array of dance techniques from age 3-adult.
