Comic Book Basics 01 - Academy Students learn the principles of creating a comic book, including storytelling, human anatomy- still camera shots in perspective. particularly learning the Marvel style of art work.  Students also learn the history of Marvel Comics in movies, comic, story planning, production, story synopsis and general ideology.  core course  Meets: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and by Appointment CBBO1

Life Drawing 01- Academy students learn the basic principles of shape, negative space, and contour drawings by drawing classmates and people at community events. Students learn the basic principles of contemporary still life art, along with the principles of draw and understand human figures. core course     Meets: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and by Appointment ARTB01

Introduction to Animation 02 - Academy students learn the history of animation ( Disney, Warner studios, Hanna Barbera ) and it's effect on mainstream media.  Principles on how to create key frame sequences, pencil tests and virtual flip books are also taught. Advance students may take this course in conjunction with our computer illustration course which may include 2-d animation principles and work in Flash. Meets: Friday, Appointment ANIA02

Computer Graphics 01- Academy students learn the basic principals of Digital Imaging and Photography and Layout by using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other graphic publication programs. Students learn on MAC or Windows. Students will learn creative concepts and techniques that exist in today's print media and learn how to apply them to team & individual projects core course Meets: Friday, and by Appointment ADVSA02

Advance Storyboarding 02 - Academy Student learns learn how to create storyboards for presentation.  Timing and correct story flow are essential to production of viable storyboard.  Students learn how to create multiple frames in which to execute and direct camera angels and key shots.  We also discuss creating a animation / comic script through a fluent storyboard.  more on courses here Meets: Wednesday, and by Appointment COPA02
