2. Are All applicants
accepted? All
applications are accepted. However we are not able to approve each application,
all applications are reviewed by a tri-partie board which makes recommendation
on based upon class availability, applicant's portfolio, student need and our
ability to provide service to the student.

Community projects, team art
projects, live caricature sittings, portrait sittings, classroom projects,
computer research, sketching, comic book paneling, storyboarding, illustration.

are the sessions ? Each class
is 2 to 2.5 hours each. Academy students can take advantage of up to 5 hours of
instruction per week and up to 22 hours of instruction per month at no
additional cost.

transportation to the Academy ? At this time we do not provide
transportation to the facility, however we are Marta accessible and less than 1
mile from I 85.
We are located next to CVS pharmacy and Chic A Filet on
Cleveland Avenue. 6. What are the benefits
of being a Academy student ? As a Academy student you will gain local
and National attention through our website and affiliations with our sponsors.
We offer a intense curriculum providing high level courses to elementary and
high school students. Our students can also use their ID to obtain a 10%
discount off of art supplies at
Sam Flax, Atlanta.

/ events 7. What courses can my
child take, what are the hours of those courses? Comic
Book Basics - designed for a student interested in comic books & Japanimation
Computer illustration -
designed for students with a basic knowledge of the windows / mac operating
system hat would like to learn Photoshop & 2-D animation.
Advanced Storyboarding -
This course offers an
intense team project in building of comic books and movie animation.
Life Drawing This course offers drawing people and objects, learning
anatomy and muscle structure, students learn poses and facial structure.

private classes or classes for adults?

9. What are the
qualifications of your teachers ? Our teachers at minimum must have the
following credentials - 1000 hours of more of accredited courses in academics &
art as established by the American Council on Education College Credit issued by
an accredited institution of Art. Must have been entered into the Dean's
Honor Role of Distinction with a GPA of at least 3.7 or higher- Magna Cum Laude.
Must be cleared for working with children. And have at least 5 years or more of
progressive paid working experience as Graphic Designer, Animator or Comic Book
Artist. Teachers must display an excellent drawing aptitude; high moral and
ethical standards must be considered an achieved professional with
recommendation from a qualifying Professor holding a MFA or PHD. 10. What is a student
evaluation report (SER) , how can I obtain it? What effect if any does
it have on entering a post secondary school? At this time we art not an
accredited institution. We may make a evaluation report based upon our
observations during your child's class time, homework and assignments. From
time to time we speak with local art teachers, principal and community leaders
about our students. To date we have written recommendations for students
entering the Art Institute of Atlanta and Savannah College of Art and
Design. SER reports are prepared at the end of the current session.
